About The Warhawks

 

The Wigan Warhawks were formed officially in January of 2015. The idea of the team came from a lack of American Football in the area, and a combined idea of interest in the sport between 3 friends.

 

With a date set for the first practice, and kit purchased. We headed off to Alexandra Park in Wigan. A few months later we had 9 players registered, and we are still growing today.

 

Our first competitive action came courtesy of the NuOla Summer Shield event in September of 2015. After a stout showing the Warhawks finished with a 2-3 record getting to the quarter-finals of the shield portion of the event.

 

Now with 2016 season just around the corner, we are heading into our rookie year with high prospects.
